Join us in the heart of Barossa food culture at the Barossa Farmers Markets for this wonderful and informative (and hands on) workshop presented by seasoned home preserver Marieka Ashmore, Ilona Glastonbury from Otti Made, and Sheralee Menz from Trevallie Orchards. As the bustle of the mornings market dies away let Marieka take you through through the process, from choosing your fruit through to how to use the Fowlers preserving kits, trouble shooting and of course what to do with the preserves when you have finished making them. Concluding with a delicious locavore lunch prepared using hundred mile ingredients, and a cheeky glass or two of wine, this is a Gourmet event designed for anyone who entertained the thought of self sufficiency.
While the focus of the workshop will be preserving Trevallie Orchards gorgeous pears, it should set you up for much of your your future preserving needs.
