This beautiful stoneware tea pot is a collaboration between artist Ilona Glastonbury, ceramicist Kate Jenkins and artist Peter Hart. It was hand thrown by Kate Jenkins on a wooden foot operated pottery wheel, in her studio just north of the Barossa Valley, the reclaimed brass handle was hand made by Peter Hart and Ilona Glastonbury was involved in the design process.
The clay was locally sourced from Golden Grove in South Australia.
This item has been made with love and care, for you and the planet.
It is lead-free but IS NOT dishwasher safe. We recommend gentle hand washing. Please avoid exposing it to extremes in temperature and do take care when handling and storing.
Approx 11cm diameter at base and 8cm high. Listing is for one.
This glaze is matte with iron speckles coming through from the body underneath. It is a glaze that will craze and we feel this is part of its charm. The inside of the pot will over time develop a beautiful spiderweb pattern as it soaks up tea colour. Because the clay has been fired beyond 1260 degrees Celsius it is vitreous and so completely safe.
PLEASE note shipping is a flat fee of $10 in Australia. All items are wrapped and packed in eco friendly or reclaimed materials.
