This beautiful stoneware platter was hand thrown by Kate Jenkins on a wooden foot operated pottery wheel, in her studio just north of the Barossa Valley.
Made using locally sourced clay from Golden Grove in South Australia.
This item has been made with love and care, for you and the planet.
Lead-free and dishwasher safe although when possible we recommend gentle hand washing. Please avoid exposing to extremes in temperature and do take care when handling and storing.
Approx 26cm in diameter at the base and 2cm high at the rim.
This glaze is matte with iron speckles coming through from the body underneath. It is a glaze that will craze and we feel this is part of its charm. The inside of the cup will over time develop a beautiful spiderweb pattern as it soaks up the tea colour. Because the clay has been fired beyond 1260 degrees Celsius it is vitreous and so completely safe.
PLEASE note shipping is a flat fee of $10 in Australia. All items are wrapped and packed in eco friendly or reclaimed materials.
